The Islamorada Library branch welcomes all ages to participate in Summer Reading 2025 to see how “Our Stories Fit Together” when we open a book.


Sign up for Summer Reading begins May 30th. You can pick up a reading log and win prizes by tracking your reading over the summer.


Participate in exciting and informative weekly programs that connect our local community while encouraging us to peek beyond our own back door. Join the adventure through reading, hands-on activities, and unique programming that ties all our stories together!


Some of our programs this year will include:


Tuesday, June 3 - 6:30pm - Fantasy Theater Factory will present “The Misadventures of Pinocchio.”


Friday, June 13 - 10:30amPatty’s Primary Songs will visit Ms. Chris’s Story Time.


Tuesday, June 17 - 6 pm  - Pawsitive Beginnings


Wednesday, June 18th - 3:30 pm - Florida Keys Wild Bird Center


Friday, June 20 – 9 am – Join the Library @Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park for a Junior Ranger Program.


Friday, June 27 - 12 pm – Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Animal Farm with Farmer Jeanne.


Wednesday, July 2 - 10:30amWindell Campbell, Puppeteer Extraordinaire & Storyteller, gives the chance for all ages to visit Story Time!


Friday, July 18 – 9 am – Join the Library @Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park for a Junior Ranger Program.


Friday, July 25 – 2 pmDidgeridoo Down Under is in the library with a cultural experience unique to Australia. Stick around to make your own didgeridoo while supplies last.


Monday, July 28 - 4 pm Do Art Comic Workshop - where a unicyclist drawing on a dry erase board while wearing a rubber chicken just might inspire you to draw what resides in your wildest imagination!
