Homeschooling Help from the Monroe County Public Library

We now have a Book Club In A Bag collection for kids and teens! And download the Homeschool Parents Guide from Mango Languages, here - you can sign up for this language-learning app at no cost with your Monroe County Public Library card.

All our branches offer programs for kids and teens and some have programs especially for homeschoolers: Check out our calendar to see what's happening at your local branch. You can add events to your own calendar, set up an email reminder and share them with friends.

How do I get a library card?

You can sign up online and get started with our digital resources right away. You’ll need to come to one of our branches within three months and show local ID, proof of local residency or a military I.D. to get a card and borrow physical materials.

There’s a lot you can do at the library, including attending programs, printing and using our laptops, even if you don’t have a card.
