For all ages, the Florida Electronic Library connects you with eBooks, articles, videos, and more, including a special section of Florida Facts for kids.
Want to get more local in learning history? Our Florida Keys History Center has photographs, documents, features, and more that tell the story of the island chain.
With a Monroe County Public Library card, you get unlimited plays on Kanopy Kids. These videos are curated, with no ads and include instructional content that's also fun. You can download the Homeschool Parents Guide from Mango Languages, here - you can sign up for this language-learning app at no cost with your Monroe County Public Library card.
Got a group? We now have a Book Club In A Bag collection for kids and teens!
Choose from our growing collection of titles. You get 10 copies of the book and a reader's guide to help get the discussion going. You get the books for eight weeks. Choose any bag from the collection, and we'll send it to the branch nearest you.

All our branches offer programs for kids and teens and some have programs especially for homeschoolers: Check out our calendar to see what's happening at your local branch. You can add events to your own calendar, set up an email reminder, and share events with friends.
How do I get a library card?
You can sign up online and get started with our digital resources right away. You’ll need to come to one of our branches within three months and show local ID, proof of local residency or a military I.D. to get a card and borrow physical materials.
There’s a lot you can do at the library, including attending programs, printing and using our laptops, even if you don’t have a card.
