Pick up your library books & DVDs from one of our 5 library holds lockers located throughout the Keys. The holds lockers are contact-free and quick for when you are on the move.
Where
Holds lockers located outside the Key Largo and Marathon libraries are available 24/7. Holds lockers at Islamorada and Key West, accessible during library hours, are located just within their entrances. (Click here for location info.) The holds locker at Bernstein Park is available during park hours, generally 7AM--10PM daily.
How
Search the library catalog for desired titles, click Place Hold button, select the nearest holds locker from the pickup location drop-down. Confirm location and await your text or email "Holds ready" confirmation. Holds are available for seven days upon receiving the notification.
At the holds locker, scan your library card and enter your 4-digit library PIN (typically the last 4 digits of the phone number on your library account) onto the touchscreen. After responding to prompts on the kiosk screen, a locker door will automatically open for retrieving materials. The items are now checked out to you.

The holds lockers at Bernstein, Key West, Islamorada and Key Largo were 100% federally funded through the 2021-2022 American Rescue Plan Act administered through the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Division of Library and Information Services under the Florida Department of State.
