Key Largo Library Concert Series

The Key Largo Library branch is once again hosting our popular First Friday Concerts.


These will take place from 6-7 pm on the first Friday of each month (except March) in the Library's Community Room. The Library is at 101485 Overseas Highway in the Tradewinds Shopping Plaza.


These concerts are free and open to the public. You do not need to have a Monroe County Public Library card to attend.


Here's the lineup:



October 3: Amigos

Amigos is a Rock/Blues/Pop Band that originates from Key Largo and has recently formed from the rhythm section of the Lower Mat Cats out of Islamorada. This fun-loving group performs with an energetic style striving to bring a smile to the listeners. Their music possesses an infectious beat with grove and soul making you want to join in the fun!


November 7: Jennings & Keller

Jennings & Keller is an award-winning touring duo, offering up 21st century Americana with folk, jazz and roots music influences. Fusing different musical elements into a unique, eclectic style that is refreshingly diverse. Keller is lauded for his world-class musicianship, known as a "songwriter's songwriter." Jennings, a former Shakespearean sctress, incorporates that skill with her command of the songs she sings. Their 17 years of playing together have earned them a reputation for quality musicianship and expert storytelling.


December 5: Grant Livingston

Grant Livingston has been a Florida favorite, telling stories of Florida

in song. He sings about armadillos, barnacles, the invasion of the Everglades by Melaleuca trees and pythons. You'll have the chance to laugh, sing along, and say, "Huh! I didn't know that!" He has four CDs of original songs.



January 2: Bing Futch

Using an Appalachian Mountain dulcimer, Native American flute, ukulele, and a board full of stompboxes, Bing Futch celebrates traditional and modern Americana music with passion, humor, and boundless energy. Known for musical shapeshifting, Bing switches styles and tone with every new song, from his Roots rock and Blues originals to The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Disney covers.



Special Tuesday Concert:

February 3: The Kennedys

The Kennedys are a New York-based duo who have been perfecting an exhilarating sound that blends '60s-style poprock with Americana. Their collaboration has resulted in unforgettable songs, performed with brilliance. Together, they have recorded 25 albums with each tune a carefully cultivated gem.




February 6: Tabitha Meeks

The Queen of Retro Pop has arrived. Best described as “Norah Jones meets Nancy Sinatra,” Tabitha Meeks’ feel-good throwback music will make you bop your head, tap your toes and feel empowered all at once. Her piano solos and live shows are unmatched in fun vintage energy, and her catchy light-hearted songs will be stuck in your head for days.



April 3: Alligator Alley

Alligator Alley, a bluegrass band out of

the South Florida area, plays a mix of classic and contemporary bluegrass hits along with gripping originals. Veterans of the Florida bluegrass circuit, the band pulls from their collected experiences for a fresh new sound of different styles, mixed with youth, experience, and friendships.
