All Days Are Dog Days

The dog days of summer refers to the hottest weeks, traditionally the time in July and August when Sirius, the dog star, is visible. We're used to sweltering summers around here. It's the time of year when we slow down, try to get out on the water or at least into the air conditioning. But — we also love dogs! So we're using this designation to celebrate the joy our canine companions bring to our lives.
