When you come into the Islamorada Branch library, you'll feel right at home. A warm, welcoming atmosphere of comfortable furnishings and WPA-era bas relief's makes you feel like part of the library community. Yet the Islamorada Branch has much more to offer than just a pleasant visit. The Florida Room is filled with fascinating materials that draw you into the old Spanish influence on the Florida Keys. All this, plus access to all your library needs.

The Library first opened in 1966, and is housed in a building built by the Works Progress Administration just after the 1935 hurricane. The building was originally built to be a storm shelter.

The Islamorada Library appreciates the contributions and leadership of the Friends of the Islamorada Library.
