Astronomy Lecture: Observing Tips & Etiquette

Posted Feb 12, 2016 Posted by Be the first to comment

Open a new door to the night sky as we explore the hobby of amateur astronomy. The emphasis is on helping the beginner to experience and enjoy  celestial objects that are easy and fun to see. Weather permitting, there will be time devoted to actual observation at a nearby open area using just our eyes, binoculars, and a good amateur telescope (so dress warmly). The classes will be conducted as a series of presentations, questions and discussion welcomed. Each session will be unique but independent, so participation in all three sessions will be interesting and enjoyable.

This is the final class in the series.

The lectures will be taught by Lawrence Halstead, who has over 20 years of experience with amateur astronomy.
