UPDATE: As of Friday, April 29, the House & Senate are DEADLOCKED over this issue. Thank you for the response!

State funding for libraries is in jeopardy. Our local allocation has steadily decreased over the past few years, but now the entire program may be gutted. To make matters worse, if the Florida legislature cuts the State Aid to Libraries program, our state will become ineligible for the federal funding that we have used for local projects, such as digitization of our historical photographs and literacy training for hospitality workers.
